Women cell

The Women Cell of PTM Government College, Perinthalmanna was set up in the college to create a platform for empowerment of young minds to help them grow into a balanced and better human being. Most of the students in this college are girls and we see a trend of girl students dropping out of college or ceasing to pursue higher education due to socio-economic issues. This cell has been working to empower them to face these hurdles with dignity and enhance their ability to make independent decisions.

Vision

To mould and enlighten the young minds and pave the way for them to grow into balanced and better human beings.

Mission:

To help make female students and staff aware about their self-worth and for them to understand that they have a right to make their own choices in life.

To encourage female students to be self-reliant and economically independent.

Increasing gender awareness among the students and eliminating deep rooted beliefs of gender bias and discrimination by increasing gender sensitivity.

To equip students, by building up their self-confidence and enhance their ability to influence the direction of social change.
