The Bhoomitresena with its honest motive of preserving the diverse and multi dimensional eco system attempts to inculcate among the youngsters the necessity of preserving and handing down the Earth to posterity.The club members actively participate in afforestation mission and has contributed substantially in retaining the greenery in the campus. BMC aims to inculcate a love towards nature, wildlife and above all,the Mother earth.It works under Government of Kerala-Environment and Climate Change Directorate BMC-188/MPM/12/12.Volunteers also have an opportunity to participate in Nature camps organised by various forest divisions.
Objectives
- To promote the study and appreciation of the natural world among students.
- To provide students with hands-on experiences in the outdoors, including field trips and nature hikes.
- To educate students about environmental issues and conservation efforts, and to encourage them to take action to protect the environment.
- To provide students with opportunities to learn about different plants and animals in their local area, and to develop an understanding of the interconnectedness of different ecosystems.
- To foster a sense of community and teamwork among students who are interested in nature, and to provide a supportive environment for them to learn and grow.
- To encourage students to develop a lifelong interest in the natural world, and to provide them with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about environmental issues.
